The title of these pieces are unsubtle in the suggestion of a grouping of individual units that are linked together to form a larger object.
This group of pieces are titled The Constellation
Although these pieces were inspired by the idea that there can be many unique individuals that share a common thread, forming an integral part of something greater our more subtle influence was created by seeing each individual´s EXPERIENCE as unique, capable of seeing the same object completely differently based on vantage point and experiences.
Recognizing and observing varied perspectives leads to wisdom gained and understanding of new dimensions of detail. With that new information comes a new softness that feels like flexibility. When rigidity falls away, a new, lighter form takes its place with playfulness and pleasure. What I enjoy from these pieces is the way that their form changes with even a subtle shift in positioning. It is a brand new form seen from the same individual forms as before, much in the same way our understanding of what a constellation looks like would vary from one hemisphere or continent to another.
